Scammers usually stick to one huge sob story per scam but this guy pulled out two! He’s certainly a cavalier of his art. Here is our email conversation from the start. He was selling a Toyota Tacoma on Craigslist for an absurdly low price. I should have known he was a scammer. But if I had known I’d never have received his detail packed, yet emotionally compelling to all who’ve know the trauma of an ended relationship, story. What a treat. If I get anything back I’ll be sure to post.

I want to tell you that I own the title and there are no payments left on my Tacoma. My truck is in great shape, no engine problems, damages or hidden defects. It was always garaged and never smoked in. It has no scratches or any kind of damage.
I’m a pilot on cargo flights. My wife broke up with me recently because I’m always away from home. We just sold our house and split the money. This is the last thing I need to sell and split the money with her. Because I’m away most of the time I will not be able to deal in person But I’ve already arranged the shipping and the title transfer anywhere in the US.
At this point I am in Calgary, Canada at my parents due to my father’s situation, he’s going through a hard time with his illness.
The truck is located in Helena, Montana, if you want to buy it. Also i can ship you the truck for free anywhere in USA.I will have the truck shipped from Helena by DAS (the truck has been crated and is ready for shipping because the loan of my previous buyer didn’t get approved) so there won’t be any additional shipping costs.
Full price is $2,800, shipping included, and all the documents will be provided along with it. The truck will arrive at your door in 4-5 days. I want the payment to be handled by eBay Financial Department. They will keep the money until you will receive and inspect the truck. You will have 10 days of inspection period. If the truck is not like described you will have to ship it back on my expense and they will give you a full refund. This way, you will be able to inspect the vehicle before committing to buy it and I know that you have the money and you aren’t just fooling around. I want to tell you that I do not sell my truck in payments and I do not trade.

What a heartwarming story. Truly I’m touched and further compelled to make purchase of your vehicle. I too, have recently suffered the heartache of a broken relationship. We met over 5 years ago but didn’t actually court until the previous year. At that point our romantic interest in each other was immediate. Though quirky together (she enjoyed very much doing high kicks as I enjoyed singing show tunes), we fit very well together not unlike the water which perfectly fills a bottle. Our relationship came to a pinnacle (otherwise known a high or climactic point) when she was ready to wed and I was, unfortunately, not in the right mindset for such a matter. However, and in accordance with my deepest love for her, I pressed forward telling myself that all would work out to the best.
Despite these intentions however, I must have locked my best far enough away from my heart that it was fertilized by the muddy soil of my bowels. Soon doubt became an aggressive weed within my soul and the wayward decision to end our relationship grew until it infested me. I have since reflected on my decision and drawn the gravest of conclusions. Although at the time, I feel that my decision was in accordance with my mental and emotional confusion, I will forever wish that my mental and emotional confusion weren’t mine. Days and nights continue to pass with memories of my love at the fore front of my thoughts and dreams; yet it has been months since I’ve seen her in the arena of reality.
