Here’s our newest effort at an Alaia board. We can’t find paulownia wood like

you’re supposed to use, so mahogany was the best substitute we could come up with (Hawaii’s not the best for wood selection I’m finding). Anyway, here’s the process we went through today.

Well, we’ve still got a lot of sanding left to make this guy smooth but the basic outline is there. I’d say we spent about four hours on it so far and have another two to finish it. Not bad.
